Carton live storage is the ideal storage and picking solution for any business that employs the first in, first out (FIFO) inventory management system, particularly those that deal in high volumes of perishable products. Items are loaded into the back of the rack, but picked from the front. When an item is picked, the row slides forward to the front.

Carton Live Storage Solutions
Carton live gravity flow storage offers high-density storage capacities and First In First Out (FIFO) stock rotation. Using carton live storage is simple. All you have to do is load cartons into one side of the aisle, to allow unloading to take place on the other side of the system. When a carton is unloaded, the rest of the items in the rack move down the lane.
The lanes in your rack can be stacked horizontally and/or vertically. They sit at a horizontal incline so that cartons seamlessly move down the lane to create an automatic pick and flow system. In other words, the last product to be loaded into the rack is the last product to come out.
These solutions offer a wide range of benefits, including the fact that they make excellent use of the storage space available and can be incorporated into a pallet racking solution. Optimising rack utilisation is also very high, often at levels of 90 per cent. Plus, as carton live is a FIFO solution, loading and unloading operations are highly efficient, increasing productivity in your business and maximising return on investment.
