    WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Types of Archive Shelving

At Storepro we offer two main types of archive shelving: static/panel systems, and mobile archive shelving systems. We customise storage to suit the needs of our customers, so we’ll often combine both types of archive shelving into a single solution.

Static/panel archive shelving

The ‘standard’ form of archive shelving, static or panel shelving is designed to be installed in a permanent location. The shelving is usually made from steel and configured to a height that maximises archival storage capacity. The shelves can either be standard or longspan.

Mobile archive shelving

Mobile archive shelving units move along tracks, allowing bays of archives to be compacted down and opened up as needed. These systems can be manual (moved by a handle at the end of each row), mechanical (moved by a hand crank/wheel), or electrically powered (moved with the press of a button).

Often static shelving is installed on the walls around a mobile archive shelving system to maximise the use of space.
